Privacy Policy
This Policy describes how CTC Cataract Training Center ("CTC") handles the personal data of Platform users, in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law 13,709/2018, "LGPD") and, where applicable, equivalent data protection laws.
1. Data we collect
- Registration: name, email, country, language and professional license (CRM or equivalent), plus a password stored in encrypted form.
- Videos and analyses: the videos you upload for assessment, the frames extracted from them, the generated reports and your performance history.
- Payment: payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal; CTC receives only confirmations and transaction identifiers, never full card details.
- Platform usage: technical access logs (date, pages, device) required for security and operation.
2. How we use it
- To provide the service: authenticate your access, process analyses, display your performance and enable mentoring.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions and courtesy access.
- To communicate account matters (results, due dates, expiration notices).
- To improve the Platform and protect against fraud and abuse.
3. Artificial intelligence and sharing
- To generate the Surgical Analysis, frames from your video are processed by AI providers engaged by CTC (currently Anthropic and/or Google), exclusively to produce the report. Under their enterprise terms, these providers do not use this data to train their models.
- Your videos and results are accessible only to you and CTC's preceptor team. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
- Data may be shared with authorities when required by law.
4. Responsibility for patient data
Uploaded videos must show only the surgical field or the surgeon's hands, without any information that could identify patients (face, name, medical records, audio with personal data). Prior anonymization is the user's responsibility, as the professional accountable for the material.
5. Storage and security
- Data is stored on servers engaged by CTC, with restricted access, password encryption and technical protection controls.
- Videos and analyses are kept for as long as your account exists, to build your progress history. You may request deletion at any time.
- No system is infallible; in the event of a relevant security incident, affected users and the authorities will be notified as required by law.
6. Your rights
You may request: confirmation of processing, access, correction, portability, anonymization or deletion of your data, as well as information about sharing. To exercise these rights, use the Platform's contact channels. We will respond within the legal deadlines.
7. Cookies
We use only cookies and local storage essential to operation (such as keeping your session authenticated and your chosen language). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
8. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the Platform or the law. The current version will always be available on this page, with the update date at the top.
